IT Business Analyst

Position Summary:

The IT Business Analyst (Procure to Invoice) supports the full lifecycle of procurement and invoicing initiatives by connecting business needs with technical solutions. This role partners with Procurement, Accounts Payable, Accounting, and other cross functional teams to analyze requirements, enhance systems, support procurement and invoice exception tools, and drive user adoption through training. The ideal candidate brings a strong techno-functional background, hands on P2I experience, and the ability to translate complex processes into practical, user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Requirements

\u2022Engage with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements.

\u2022Map current P2I processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and improved user experience.

\u2022Convert business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

\u2022Support solution design sessions with IT, developers, and vendors.

Procure to Invoice Systems & Tools

\u2022Act as a subject matter expert for procurement and invoice exception tools (eProcurement platforms, AP automation tools, OCR/AI invoice processing, supplier portals).

\u2022Act as a subject matter expert for ancillary Procurement functions (such as the inventory module, as well as Supplier and Item Master).

\u2022Assist with configuration, testing, and deployment of enhancements and integrations.

\u2022Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with technical teams.

\u2022Support data validation, reporting, and analytics related to procurement and invoicing activities.

\u2022Leverage ad-hoc reporting tools for analysis.

Project Delivery

\u2022Participate in planning, design, testing, UAT coordination, and go live support for P2I projects.

\u2022Develop process flows, test scripts, training materials, and SOPs.

\u2022Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security standards, and compliance requirements.

End User Training & Support

\u2022Deliver training sessions, workshops, and one on one coaching for procurement, storeroom and AP users.

\u2022Create user guides, job aids, and knowledge base content to support adoption and self service.

\u2022Serve as a liaison between business teams and IT to ensure ongoing support and continuous improvement.

What You Need to Succeed

\u20223-5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role within IT or business operations.

\u2022Strong understanding of Procure to Invoice processes (requisitions, POs, goods receipt, inventory, invoice processing, exceptions, approvals).

\u2022Experience with procurement systems (JDE EnterpriseOne, SAP Ariba, Coupa) and/or invoice automation tools (Basware, Tungsten, Esker, Kofax).

\u2022Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

\u2022Strong analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills.

\u2022Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including experience training end users.

Preferred Qualifications

\u2022SAP MM experience, especially in areas related to purchasing, goods receipt, and invoice verification.

\u2022Experience with workflow automation, OCR/AI invoice processing, or integration technologies.

\u2022Experience building or interpreting dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools.

\u2022Understanding of data structures, reporting tools, or SQL.

\u2022Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
