PM Shift Line Cook | Eligible for Kitchen Tip Pool

Leucadia Pizzeria & Italian Restaurant is looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our team for evening shifts.

This position will primarily work at our pasta and sauté station , with cross-training in other areas of the kitchen, including salad preparation, pizza production, and pizza cutting. If you have restaurant kitchen experience, enjoy working on a fast-paced team, and take pride in consistently producing great food, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Schedule: PM shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Work Location: In person
Eligible for Kitchen Tip Pool

About the Role

As a Line Cook, you'll be an important part of our Back of House team, preparing high-quality menu items to established recipes, portion sizes, presentation standards, and food safety requirements.

You'll help keep the kitchen organized, clean, stocked, and ready for service while working closely with fellow cooks, Front of House employees, and management to keep orders moving accurately and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Prepare menu items according to company recipes, portions, cooking procedures, and quality standards
• Work primarily on the pasta and sauté station while cross-training on salads, pizza production, pizza cutting, and other kitchen stations
• Review orders carefully and accurately follow modifications, substitutions, allergy notices, and special instructions
• Complete prep and production duties before and during service to keep your station stocked and ready
• Work quickly and efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining food quality and order accuracy
• Properly label, date, rotate, cool, store, and discard food products while helping minimize unnecessary waste
• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, cross-contamination, handwashing, temperature-control, and workplace safety procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout the shift
• Safely operate knives, ovens, stovetops, fryers, slicers, mixers, and other kitchen equipment after proper training
• Communicate with cooks, servers, counter employees, delivery employees, dishwashers, and management regarding order timing, modifications, and product needs
• Support other kitchen stations when needed and appropriately trained
• Assist with takeout, delivery, catering, and large-volume orders
• Help receive, inspect, organize, and properly store food and restaurant supplies
• Assist with dishes, cookware, utensils, food containers, and kitchen equipment when needed
• Complete assigned opening, shift-change, restocking, cleaning, and closing duties
• Promptly communicate product shortages, equipment problems, food-quality concerns, unsafe conditions, injuries, or other operational issues to management
• Participate in deep cleaning, inventory organization, training, and other restaurant duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older (required)
• At least 1 year of cooking experience required
• At least 1 year of restaurant experience required
• Previous line cook, sauté, pizza, or food preparation experience strongly preferred
• Ability to follow recipes, portions, preparation instructions, and food safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and order accuracy
• Ability to work with speed and urgency in a busy restaurant kitchen
• Ability to stay organized while handling multiple orders and responsibilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and reliable transportation
• Ability to accept direction, coaching, feedback, and station assignments from management
• Professional and respectful attitude, including during busy or stressful periods
• Willingness to assist with cleaning, restocking, dishwashing, and other kitchen responsibilities
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler Card
• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
