Accounting Manager

Our client is a company in the Milwaukee area looking for an Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 7+ years of accounting experience, strong technical accounting experience, and who is flexible! This role offers the chance to be part of a growing company that is team oriented. This role is hybrid.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and actively participate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements and supporting schedules
Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency, accuracy, and reporting processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls
Partner closely with production and operational leadership to support business performance
Assist with cost accounting activities, inventory analysis, and manufacturing-related financial reporting
Analyze operational results and provide insights to support decision-making
Support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and operations
Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and coordinate annual audit activities
Develop, enhance, and maintain accounting processes, policies, and internal controls
Support compliance initiatives and ensure strong financial governance practices
Assist with technical accounting research and implementation as needed
Support acquisition accounting activities and post-acquisition integration efforts
Help build scalable accounting infrastructure to support continued company growth
Participate in system and process enhancement projects
Contribute to the development and future growth of the accounting team

The Accounting Manager will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
7+ years of accounting experience.
Strong technical accounting background preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
CPA certification preferred
