Desired Qualifications:
- Current certification and licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly valued
- Solid grasp of IEP process, documentation, and goal development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and staff
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations and varying levels of need
- Flexible approach to adapting interventions for both individuals and small groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify needs related to fine motor, sensory, and self-help skills
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals
- Provide direct therapy sessions and adaptive strategies to support student participation
- Document assessments, sessions, and progress reports in accordance with district protocols
- Train and consult with teachers and staff to integrate occupational therapy strategies in the classroom
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise to student support teams
- Monitor, reassess, and adjust interventions as necessary for optimal student progress
