As a Systems Engineer, you will support enterprise infrastructure modernization efforts by administering, automating, and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments that support mission-critical applications and hybrid cloud operations across a large-scale Department of Defense network. Project Details / Mission Supported: • Administer and support enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. • Implement and maintain automation solutions using Ansible and scripting tools. • Support hybrid cloud and virtualization platforms. • Manage system lifecycle activities including deployment, maintenance, patching, and upgrades. • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support operational readiness. • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system reliability, performance, and availability. • Support enterprise platform modernization initiatives and operational sustainment efforts. • Provide technical expertise across geographically dispersed enterprise environments.Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. • 7+ years of IT infrastructure or systems engineering experience. • Extensive experience supporting RHEL 8 environments. • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification required (Security+). • Experience with Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite. • Experience with Linux administration and scripting technologies. • Experience supporting enterprise or hybrid cloud environments. • Experience with VMware virtualization technologies. • Experience with Microsoft Azure environments. • Strong troubleshooting and systems engineering experience in enterprise infrastructure environments. Preferred Qualifications: • Linux certification such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Linux+. • Experience supporting RHEL 6 and RHEL 7 environments. • Experience working in secure or classified environments. • Experience with Scaled Agile methodologies.
