PV Solar Field Technician II (Amite)

Date: Jul 15, 2026 Location(s): ROSELAND, LA, US, 70456 Company: NextEra Energy Requisition ID: 96272 Position Specific Description This position sits within the Power Generation Division responsible for all of NextEra Energy's non‑nuclear generation operations, exceeding 40,000 MW of installed capacity. Based in the Roseland, LA area, the employee will operate and maintain solar PV collection assemblies, battery energy storage, and AC/DC inverters across multiple solar power plants to ensure safe, efficient, and environmentally‑sound operations. Key duties include maintaining tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations, conducting daily inspections of fluid systems, mechanical components, and electrical components for component failures that could prevent inverters from producing grid power, and providing electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting for solar arrays and inverters. The employee will support teammates in nearby states, maintaining reliability, operations, and maintenance for assigned sites in the region.
