Since 1996, C2 Essentials has provided Human Capital Management services, specializing in supporting federal contractors.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant who is accurate, analytical, comfortable with technology, and takes ownership of getting the work done.

C2 uses modern technology, automation, and AI to improve efficiency and reduce routine administrative work, allowing our accounting team to focus on accuracy, analysis, problem-solving, and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

• Maintain general ledger accuracy

• Assist with financial statements and reporting

• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Assist with budgeting, audits, and special projects

• Identify accounting issues and recommend practical solutions

• Help improve accounting processes through technology and automation

• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Take ownership of assigned work through completion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3–6 years of hands-on accounting experience

• Solid understanding of GAAP

• Experience with journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close

• QuickBooks Online experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to research discrepancies and resolve issues

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Comfortable learning and using new technology, automation, and AI tools

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, on-site environment

Preferred

• Experience with payroll or payroll-related accounting

• Experience with multi-entity accounting
