Description
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized measures and clinical observation methods.
  • Create tailored therapeutic plans that effectively address immediate and long-term communication and swallowing goals.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions with an emphasis on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing therapy.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to cultivate uniform care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families to foster continued progress in therapeutic goals beyond the clinical setting.
  • Contribute to occasional inpatient therapies to ensure seamless service for all patients throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and promptly, consistent with applicable guidelines and standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to remain abreast of industry advancements.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Therapist .
  • ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly desirable.
  • BLS certification is required within one month of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices for diverse age groups, with in-depth knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
  • Capability to customize therapeutic approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic needs.
  • Sound clinical judgment paired with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical record keeping and compliance with documentation practices.
