Job Responsibilities

• Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, vocalization, and swallowing skills.
• Work alongside physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to formulate comprehensive care approaches.
• Provide education for patients and their families, supporting their development and progress outside the clinical environment.
• Occasionally support inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's journey.
• Maintain precise, timely documentation in alignment with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Enhance your professional knowledge by keeping abreast of industry advancements through continuing education and collaboration with peers.

Education Requirements

• A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
