The opportunity Design power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding with respect tobuildingsand infrastructure projects Short circuit, overcurrent coordination,loadand arc flash studies Lighting photometric calculations using AGI Assign circuitry for Power and Lighting devices Technical report writing Work on projects using Revit MEPand SKM Contribute to the development of reports and electrical calculations Work with people from other disciplines and/or vendors to gain knowledge on new subjects Attendmeetings - listen, ask questions. Be involved in discussions with other disciplines and Architects to gain knowledge & experience. Is this role right for you? Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering(BSEE), or similar degree,bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering(BSAE), or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Concentration: Electrical Demonstrated interest in the electrical engineering industry with an emphasis on the power side of the disciplinewithin buildings and infrastructure projects Skills in planning and organizing Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing Attitude of taking independent initiative,exhibitingcreative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, whileremainingdedicated to teamwork The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skillsrequiredfor our constantly evolving environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels EIT/ FE certification preferred Coursework in building systems design, electrical power systems design, control systems, electric machines, and codes and standards preferred Internship experience in a consulting firm with emphasis on buildings electrical power system design preferred Demonstrated interest in sustainability asevidencedby extracurricular activities,etcpreferred Academic research, coursework, or other experience with alternative energy systems and other technologies new to the construction industrypreferred Experience with Revit MEP, AGI 32, SKM Power Toolspreferred Experience with automation or machine learningpreferred Proven ability to perform in a deadline situation preferred Evidence of teamwork and leadership such as professional accomplishment or honor society preferred Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts Alongside your degree, we look for the following core attributes; Changemakers: A passion for sustainable development and creating a better world is key. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Austin will differ.
