Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Corrections Officer. The successful applicant will perform the duties and responsibilities of a Corrections Officer.Starting pay is $27.25* anhour, $59,514 annually(*effective1/1/2026)Shift schedules are 12 hour days, in a rotating 2 week schedule. Officers work 15 days a month with this cycle.Probationary officers will be assignedto a day shift (6am-6pm) or night shift (6pm-6am) based on operational needs. After probation, officers can bid on shifts based on seniority.
