Implements effective simulation experiences through gap analysis, alignment with system initiatives, and collaboration with clinical leaders. Furthers simulation excellence and learning within departments at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta through Simulation Educator onboarding, mentoring, and coaching. Ensures that simulation programming and offerings include facilitator development, root cause analysis, and measuring outcomes. Drives cross-campus consistency through simulation practice implementation. Address gaps in practices and process utilizing simulation testing and evaluation. Enhances system initiatives through the innovative use of simulation, applying adult learning principles and evidence-based practice./ph3Experience/h3ulli5 years of clinical experience, pediatrics preferred/liliProven experience designing and leading training projects/liliStrong project management experience/liliDemonstrated excellent relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills/li/ulh3Preferred Qualifications/h3ulliMasters degree in nursing or allied health/liliSimulation experience utilizing human simulators/liliProfessional specialty nursing certification/lili2 years of experience in staff development/clinical education/li/ulh3Education/h3ulliBachelors Degree from a school of Nursing, Allied Health, or specific discipline for department/service area/li/ulh3Certification Summary/h3ulliCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact, or current licensure in a related field/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment/liliPediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment/li/ulh3Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities/h3ulliAbility to build strong relationships and trust/liliAdvanced communication skills, to include facilitation and presentation skills/liliProven ability coordinating projects with multiple deliverables and deadlines/liliAbility to function in a dynamic environment with the ability to flex to changing priorities/liliPassion for patient safety and quality with and basic knowledge of quality improvement strategies/liliAdept at conflict resolution, problem solving, critical thinking, and prioritization of clinical and system needs/liliPush for cross-system consistency through education/influence/liliPursues continuous improvement with a solutions-oriented approach/liliProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel/li/ulh3Job Responsibilities/h3ulliEffectively addresses quality of care and safety issues through performance consulting and design consultation with clinical areas./liliEnsures timely and consistent facilitation of clinical simulation programs to support delivery of care and to meet desired outcomes./liliManages simulation projects utilizing instructional design process to meet organizational targets./liliBuilds effective relationships and collaboration with physicians, interprofessional teams, hospital leadership, and staff./liliRole models debriefing techniques and strategies with application to projects and programs./liliPursues independent self-study to advance the impact of simulation on the organization./liliCoaches departmental simulation educators to set annual goals, drive competencies, and develop simulation programs./liliProvides mentorship and training to Simulation Educators for the acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competence along the continuum of novice to expert./liliDemonstrates fiscal responsibility in supporting budget, productivity, and resource utilization./liliCollects, analyzes, and interprets data and information related to system initiatives, programs, quality, and patient safety gaps./liliEvaluates training program(s) and initiatives for overall quality and effectiveness.
