Position Description The Department of Medicine in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine, is anticipating openings for Postdoctoral Scholars to work in the following divisions: Immunology Infectious Diseases Cardiology Nephrology and Hypertension Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Occupational and Environmental Medicine Gastroenterology Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine General Internal Medicine and Primary Care Rheumatology Hematology/Oncology Application Requirements Required materials: Curriculum Vitae (most recently updated) Statement of Research Sexual Misconduct, Harassment and Discrimination Declaration Form Minimum Requirements Appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar requires a PhD at the time of application, or you may be working toward a PhD or foreign equivalent. Candidates should have extensive training in one or more of the above disciplines. Research independence and the ability to write and fund independent research projects are desirable. Laboratory experience is required. Salary is based on background and experience. Basic Qualifications PhD (or equivalent) with extensive training in one or more of the specified disciplines.
