As a Production Supervisor at Elmet Technologies, you will lead the people and daily operations responsible for turning production plans into results. You’ll coordinate workflow, develop your team, solve problems on the floor, and work across departments to keep safety, quality, delivery, and productivity on track.

What You Will Do

You will lead daily manufacturing operations and frontline production employees, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and according to production and quality requirements.

Your work will include:

• Lead and supervise daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
• Manage shift staffing, work assignments, priorities, and workflow
• Monitor production performance and address gaps or obstacles in real time
• Ensure employees follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements
• Reinforce safe work practices and compliance with OSHA requirements and company policies
• Partner with Maintenance to resolve equipment issues and minimize production downtime
• Collaborate with Planning to align production schedules, staffing, and available capacity
• Coordinate with Quality and Engineering to address production and process issues
• Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance
• Coach, mentor, and develop production employees
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and conduct performance reviews
• Address employee concerns and workplace issues appropriately and consistently
• Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
• Communicate production priorities, performance, and issues across shifts and departments

Requirements

About You

You understand that effective production leadership happens on the manufacturing floor. You are comfortable making decisions, setting priorities, addressing performance issues, and working alongside your team when problems need to be solved.

You may be a strong fit if you bring:

• 3–7 years of manufacturing experience
• 1–3 years of supervisory, team leadership, or similar frontline leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams
• Experience using production KPIs and performance metrics to manage results
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance competing production priorities
• Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• The ability to work effectively across Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering
• A high school diploma or equivalent

An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or another regulated manufacturing environment is also preferred.

Your previous experience may include work as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Production Lead, Team Lead, or in another frontline manufacturing leadership position.

This Is Hands-On Manufacturing Leadership

This is not a leadership role that operates from behind a desk.

You will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor, staying close to your people, equipment, production priorities, and emerging problems. You should be comfortable moving between coaching an employee, responding to an equipment issue, reviewing production performance, coordinating with another department, and adjusting priorities as conditions change.

The strongest supervisors create structure without losing flexibility. They set clear expectations, follow through, communicate consistently, and help their teams solve problems before those problems affect safety, quality, or delivery.

This position requires the ability to work scheduled shifts, including nights or weekends when required.
