Overview

A well-established organization is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team. This role sits within the revenue accounting function and is well-suited for someone who enjoys working through varied and nuanced contract structures. The portfolio of agreements this person will support is diverse — each with its own terms — making this an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is looking for both challenge and room to grow.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process through timely preparation and posting of journal entries and accruals
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Apply revenue recognition principles across a varied portfolio of contractual arrangements
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and assist with financial reporting
• Partner with internal teams to ensure revenue is recorded completely and accurately
• This role will include some client follow up on invoices.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Familiarity with revenue recognition standards ASC 606 and their practical application is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet recurring deadlines
• Clear communicator who works well within a team
