Landscape Production Supervisor

Landscape Production Supervisor Position: Landscape Production Supervisor at David J. Frank Landscape Contracting, Inc., Milwaukee downtown branch. Full‑time, year‑round employment. Responsible for developing, implementing, and engaging employees and systems to meet client satisfaction and company objectives. Manages production personnel to hit budgeted production, quality, and profit objectives through efficient job planning and organization. Coordinates with various departments to ensure quality materials arrive on time for scheduled projects. Organizes all production crews to deliver landscape services, assists in planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising their activities, and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of quality and productivity. Qualifications Minimum two‑year degree from an accredited college or university in horticulture or a related field, or commensurate experience (four‑year degree preferred). Minimum five years of field experience installing landscape materials and hardscape. Minimum five years of experience scheduling, planning, and managing landscape crews. Valid Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator License (Category 3.0) and compliance with pesticide laws and regulations. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR). Extremely strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Professional constructive attitude with desire and commitment to supervising employees. Ability to learn and implement industry trends and technology. Strong knowledge of horticulture and hardscape installation, including plantings and care of ornamental plants. Ability to plan and organize. Knowledge of equipment handling, including loading, tie‑down, and trailering procedures. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients, employees, and management. Strong work ethic with honesty, reliability, and respect. Commitment to safety and company safety policies. Computer experience with Microsoft Office and landscape enterprise system is helpful. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Duties and Responsibilities Develop the team, review career goals, and assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting staff during growth or turnover. Direct activities on job sites, including layout of materials, coordinating workflow, hands‑on work, and operating machinery. Communicate production goals and other items with crew members, supervisors, and clients. Train and promote subordinates’ development in best practices and company standards, ensuring appropriate training for each job assignment. Perform necessary administrative functions related to crew management. Track and record job expenses, including materials and hours worked. Monitor tools, equipment, and machinery for maintenance needs. Interact with clients to ensure job satisfaction. Plan and schedule projects, ensuring materials are ordered, reserved, and delivered on time. Maintain communication and coordination with Client Service Representatives until project close‑out. Assist the Sales Department and production crews on engineering, feasibility, and site difficulty issues. Review crew schedules and projects daily. Promote and enforce safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in winter snow removal (on call Nov‑Apr). Perform additional assigned duties. Compensation Compensation based on experience. Weekly pay.
