Production Supervisor

As a Line Supervisor you carry considerable responsibility. You are the conductor from start to finish and play a vital role in the team of producing the best, highest quality, and most reliable transmission in the industry. This is key and very important in the remanufacturing process of transmissions and to all our customers. Your day will be spent leading, monitoring and managing process & procedures, employees, jobs, production goals, quality standards and inventory. You will suggest and implement improvements, coaching, and ensuring work is being completed in the most efficient manner. Provide support to other areas when needed, be helpful and organized to ensure daily demands are met and processes run smoothly on the production line. Company Expectations Bring a positive attitude and support your teammates Focus on quality and keep customer satisfaction at the center of everything you do Follow established policies and processes, while staying flexible as things evolve Show up on time, stay engaged, and work with passion, urgency, and focus Aim to not only meet but exceed goals Make continuous improvement a daily goal Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Production Manager and other Supervisors as needed, advise of all inventory & production problems Sustain the ability of managing, coaching and communicating with all employees in a professional manner Take on and assign responsibilities, develop plans for improvement, execute them and lead by example Motivate employees, use critical thinking and common sense when managing & addressing issues Conduct productive meetings with employees, ensure inventory is being stocked correctly in assembly cells Learn, monitor and utilize computer system, ensure units are being processed & leveled up correctly Maintain one piece workflow on the production line, make sure job and serial numbers do not get mixed up Verify & perform quality checks, ensure process & procedures are followed, keep an even flow on the line Ensure production goals and quality standards are met daily, minimum 1 unit per hour at each build station Make sure employees are productive, at workstations on time, begin and end work when scheduled Understand lean manufacturing, 5’s principles, maintain a team atmosphere, track daily production Monitor employees time punches, schedule vacations, write/perform reviews, hold employees accountable Be prepared for scheduled and impromptu meetings, train new personnel and work overtime when needed Follow directions from Managers & Human Resources, be proactive and lead department to success Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily Embrace ETE Reman’s Core Values Qualifications: Computer literate, strong communication and good math skills, able to work with Microsoft Office Must be 18 years old, high school diploma, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus Ability to read work instructions, measurements, specifications, part lists and lead employees is imperative Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and will have to work with chemicals Skill of working with your hands, tools (must provide your own) and other instruments Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills Self-starting and motivation; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.For further information, please review the Know Your Rights notice from the Department of Labor. #J-18808-Ljbffr ETE Reman
