Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long Term Care

Registered Nurse Long-term Care

Schedule: Days, 7a-3p or 7a-7p; Must be willing to float to units as needed.

Assignment Details: 13-week contract; Guaranteed hours not specified.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of current nursing experience within the last 6 months (required).
• IV certification (must be willing to obtain if not certified during onboarding).
• Active license at the time of submission (required).
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) (required).
• COVID-19 vaccination required (declinations not accepted).
• Residents living within 50 miles of the facility will not be accepted.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor residents' mental and physical well-being; report changes to Supervisor.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting in a computerized system.
• Supervise and assign tasks to nursing assistants in accordance with regulations.
• Conduct regular check-ins on appointments, therapies, and documentation by nursing staff.
• Communicate with residents' families regarding any changes and concerns.
• Complete shift reports, managing unit responsibilities, and facilitating care continuity.

Compliance / Notes:

• All requests for time off must be submitted initially and cannot exceed 5 days (holidays not approved).
• Orientation of new nursing staff is required.
• Reporting problems through the chain of command is necessary.
