MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.## The General Production Labor position provides hands-on support to production operations by performing a variety of manual and production-related tasks as assigned. This role supports product flow, quality, and efficiency while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies, food safety standards, and procedures in a fresh food manufacturing environment.#### **Key Responsibilities**## Perform assigned production tasks to support processing, packaging, and material handling operations## Assist with product handling, sorting, stacking, and staging as required## Maintain continuous product flow to prevent downtime or congestion## Monitor product for quality defects and report concerns promptly## Assist line operators with setup, changeovers, and general line support## Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment## Remove waste, scrap, and recyclable materials according to plant procedures## Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and supervisor instructions## Follow all food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and allergen control requirements## Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies## Use required PPE and follow safe work practices## Perform other duties as assigned#### **Fresh Plant Environment Expectations**## Work directly with raw, in-process, or packaged fresh product## Adhere to strict food safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention standards## Wear required PPE, including gloves, aprons, hairnets, and protective footwear## Work in temperature-controlled environments, including cold, wet, or humid conditions#### **Education and Experience Requirements**#### **Education:**## High School diploma or equivalent preferred#### **Experience:**## Prior manufacturing, production, or general labor experience preferred## Experience in food manufacturing or fresh plant operations a plus#### **Skills and Competencies**## Ability to follow written and verbal instructions## Strong attention to detail and safety## Ability to work in a fast-paced environment## Basic communication skills## Ability to work independently and as part of a team## Strong commitment to safety, food safety, and quality#### **Physical Demands and Work Requirements**## Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift## Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions## Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required## Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance## Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment#### **Work Schedule**## Must be available to work assigned shifts## Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs#### **Safety and Compliance Commitment**## The General Production Labor employee is expected to maintain a safe work environment and strictly comply with Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures.
