Office Assistant – HKC Rockland County Come spend your summer at camp! Dates & Schedule Dates: June 17 – August 14 Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (some flexibility) Pay: $16 per hour About Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds (HKC) Home to 11 independently run JCC day camps, HKC manages three facilities dedicated to summer day camping located in Long Island, Rockland County, and Staten Island. Our mission is to support our camps and ensure that any child who attends them has a great and fulfilling summer in a safe environment. Position Overview As the office assistant, you support the Director of Camp Services (DCS) for HKC Rockland County in the management of camp operations, assisting Aquatics staff and executing staff activities. You help the office run smoothly so that the DCS can focus on field work and stays informed of developments or emergencies. You also set a positive, welcoming tone in the office for staff, visitors, and guests. Key Responsibilities Support daily office operations for the Director of Camp Services. Coordinate with Aquatics staff and staff activities. Communicate developments or emergencies to the DCS promptly. Maintain a welcoming office environment for staff, visitors, and guests. Education & Experience High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working in an office setting is a plus. Qualifications Strong, effective communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and willing to learn new software. Detail-oriented and comfortable dealing with diverse personalities. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
