Established in 1989, Portnoff Law Associates, Ltd. is a law firm that limits its practice to the collection of unpaid real estate taxes and municipal utility fees. PLA now represents more than 200 municipal clients throughout Pennsylvania, with offices in King of Prussia and Allentown. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting and account reconciliations.
- Oversee general ledger activity and support quarter-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage trust account reconciliations and compliance.
- Manage billing, collections and associated reporting.
- Support accounts payable, vendor payments, and 1099 reporting.
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash management, and cash flow monitoring.
- Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for management.
- Support implementation and administration of accounting and payables systems.
- Establish and document accounting procedures and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel and accounting software proficiency.
- Trust, legal, or collections accounting experience preferred.
