Overview Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE. 4-10 hour days, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, with rotating weekends. Location: UW Health's Rehabilitation Hospital in Fitchburg, WI. Be part of something remarkable UW Health is building its newest rehabilitation hospital in Fitchburg, WI. The 58,000-square-foot facility will join our existing 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Madison and is expected to open in early 2027. Position We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to: Help manage patients in our 40-bed Acute Rehabilitation Hospital. Perform inpatient rounding. Assist with admission and discharge of hospital inpatients. Coordinate care with consulting and referring providers. Work as part of a team providing consultative services at the request of Rehabilitation Physicians. Learn more about the new hospital. Education Minimum requirements: If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited nursing program. If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited PA program. Licenses and Certifications Minimum requirements: Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in Wisconsin and board certification as a NP in appropriate clinical practice (e.g., Adult/Gerontology Acute Care; Primary Care or other inpatient-relevant certifications). Physician Assistant: Active PA license in Wisconsin and active PA board certification. All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
