At 1v1Me, we're building the future of competitive gaming.

We let people stake on live competitive video game matches and turn gaming into something you can watch, follow, and have a real reason to care about.

We're growing fast, and we want 1v1Me to become one of those brands you seemingly see everywhere — on your TikTok feed, in a YouTube video, on Twitch, in an Instagram Story, in a group chat, at an event, on a meme page, or attached to the creator everyone is suddenly talking about.

That's where you come in.

The Role In One Line

Your job is to make 1v1Me impossible to ignore.

You'll sit in our office in NYC and spend most of your time figuring out how we can use creators, influencers, internet culture, partnerships, content, and unconventional marketing ideas to put 1v1Me in front of more people.

This is not a traditional influencer marketing job where you send briefs to an agency and wait for posts to go live.

We want someone who lives on the internet, understands why things spread, knows who matters before everyone else knows who matters, and is willing to execute.

If your reaction to seeing something blowing up online is immediately thinking, "How could 1v1Me be part of this?", you'll probably fit in here.

What You'll Actually Do

• Find creators we should be working with across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, X, Kick and whatever platform matters next.
• Reach out to creators, managers, agents, meme pages, streamers and other internet personalities and build relationships with them.
• Identify up-and-coming creators before their rates explode and everyone else starts emailing them.
• Help negotiate and structure creator partnerships ranging from one-off posts to long-term relationships.
• Come up with creative campaigns that creators actually want to participate in — not generic influencer briefs.
• Constantly pitch ideas for how we can put 1v1Me into internet culture, gaming culture, sports, music and entertainment.
• Spot moments happening online and figure out how 1v1Me can get involved while people still care about them.
• Think beyond traditional paid marketing. Creator tournaments, ridiculous challenges, IRL activations, viral giveaways, collaborations, stunts, meme pages, livestreams, content series — if it can get attention, we want to hear it.
• Work with our content and creative teams to turn ideas into things people actually want to watch and share.
• Find ways to distribute our best content beyond our own accounts through creators, clipping pages, meme accounts, communities and other networks.
• Help turn 1v1Me players and personalities into recognizable internet characters and creators of their own.
• Keep a pulse on what creators, games, formats, memes and communities are gaining momentum.
• Track what actually works. Views are great, but we ultimately care about whether campaigns generate users, customers and growth.
• Move quickly. If an opportunity appears on Monday, we don't want to be talking about launching something three weeks later.

The One Non-Negotiable

You need to genuinely live on the internet.

That is hard to teach.

You should understand TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, X and creator culture because you actually consume them — not because they're listed in a marketing deck.

You know the difference between someone with followers and someone who actually moves culture.

You probably have strong opinions about which creators are about to blow up.

You understand memes without having them explained to you.

You notice when a new content format starts spreading.

You know when something feels forced or corporate.

And your For You Page should probably look concerning to a normal person.

We can teach you our product, our analytics, our processes and how we structure deals.

We can't teach you internet instincts.

Who We're Looking For

You might be a great fit if:

• You've worked in influencer marketing, growth, social, content, partnerships, talent management or something adjacent.
• You've managed creator or influencer campaigns before.
• You've built a social account, meme page, YouTube channel, community or audience yourself.
• You're comfortable cold-DMing someone, finding their manager, negotiating a deal and getting something live.
• You understand gaming, streaming and creator culture.
• You pay attention to sports, music and entertainment enough to recognize cultural moments as they're developing.
• You're creative but also extremely execution-oriented.
• You don't need a perfectly defined playbook before starting something.
• You can have ten ideas, quickly figure out which two are actually worth pursuing, and go make them happen.
• You're competitive and care about whether your work actually moves the business.

Nice To Have

• Experience with TikTok, YouTube or Twitch creators.
• Relationships with creators, managers, agencies or talent.
• Experience running paid or performance-based influencer campaigns.
• Experience negotiating creator deals.
• Experience with gaming, esports, sports, sports media or consumer apps.
• Experience building an audience from scratch.
• Experience with meme pages, clipping, UGC or creator distribution.
• Experience pulling off an IRL activation, stunt, event or unconventional marketing campaign.
• An unhealthy amount of knowledge about what's happening online.

Who This Is Not For

This probably isn't the right role if you need every project completely scoped before you start.

It isn't for someone who thinks influencer marketing means sending 100 templated emails and asking creators for their rate cards.

It isn't for someone whose understanding of internet culture comes primarily from marketing newsletters.

And it definitely isn't for someone who wants to spend six weeks building a PowerPoint about an idea that could have been launched tomorrow.

We are looking for someone who wants to do things.

How We'll Measure Success

We want to see:

• More people discovering 1v1Me.
• More creators talking about 1v1Me.
• More culturally relevant people associated with the brand.
• More high-performing creator partnerships.
• More organic distribution of 1v1Me content.
• More creative experiments being launched.
• More users and revenue coming from creator and organic growth channels.
• More moments where someone on the team says, "How the hell did we pull that off?"

Why 1v1Me

You'll get an unusual amount of freedom to experiment.

We're not looking for someone to inherit a mature influencer program and optimize it by 4%.

We're looking for someone who wants to help build the playbook.

You'll have the ability to pitch an idea, find the right people, get the resources you need and turn it into something real.

Some ideas will work.

Some will completely flop.

Then we'll figure out why and launch the next one.

If you want a job where you're constantly meeting interesting people, discovering creators, testing ideas, making things happen and figuring out new ways to get millions of people to know about a brand, you'll have a lot of fun here.

Compensation: $100k + equity + benefits

Travel: Occasional travel for creator shoots, events, partnerships and activations.
