Senior Mammography Technologist

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Mamogram Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography examinations and related procedures while supporting the quality standards and compliance of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Assist with and perform mammography-related procedures.
• Support Quality Control (QC) activities and help maintain departmental quality and compliance standards.
• Serve as a lead resource for the mammography team, providing guidance and support to other technologists.
• Train and mentor less experienced technologists in procedural techniques, workflow, and best practices.
• Collaborate with other technologists to ensure procedures and daily responsibilities are appropriately shared across the team.
• Perform localization, mammography-guided biopsies, stereotactic biopsies, and other advanced procedures.

Qualifications

• Advanced Mammography Expertise with experience in screening, diagnostic mammography, and procedures such as stereotactic biopsies and localizations.
• ARRT, TMB, and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC systems.
• Proficiency with Hologic mammography equipment.

Skills

• Leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Advanced procedural experience, particularly with breast imaging procedures.
• Strong knowledge of mammography quality control and troubleshooting.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts with potential for overtime and weekend shifts at a nearby location.
• Possibility of transitioning to four 10-hour shifts per week.
• 30-minute lunch break included.
