Experienced Project Accountant

Why this role stands out High‑visibility role with ownership over project accounting and job cost reporting Opportunity to work closely with operations and leadership Strong blend of accounting, cost tracking, reporting, and process improvement Chance to make a real impact on how the business tracks costs, margins, and profitability Key Responsibilities Manage AP, AR, and general accounting activities Oversee job costing, including labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and project profitability Prepare monthly financial reports, operational summaries, and performance roll‑ups Support project closeout, cost reconciliation, and completion reporting Review payroll‑related financial activity and labor cost accounting Monitor expenses, corporate spending, and cash activity Reconcile accounts and support month‑end close Partner with operations to improve margin reporting and financial visibility Help build scalable accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience in a project‑based or operational environment Strong job costing or project accounting background Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting Understanding of financial statements, cost tracking, and operational accounting workflows Self‑starter with strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Able to communicate clearly with finance and operations teams Preferred Qualifications Experience in a project‑based industry.
