Senior Financial Analyst Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a high-performing Senior Financial Analyst to join a leading Capital Markets brokerage team in Greater Los Angeles. The team specializes in complex, high-profile transactions including value-add, redevelopment, and ground-up development opportunities across office, industrial, multifamily, hospitality, and alternative assets. This role sits at the center of deal execution—partnering directly with senior brokers and clients to drive underwriting, valuation strategy, and transaction marketing. Position Overview The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in underwriting and executing investment sales assignments. This individual will lead financial modeling, valuation analysis, and the development of client deliverables including Broker Opinions of Value (BOVs) and Offering Memorandums (OMs). The role requires a strong understanding of real estate fundamentals, capital markets dynamics, and investor underwriting criteria. Candidates must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with direct exposure to ownership groups, investors, and internal deal teams. Key Responsibilities Lead detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis using ARGUS Enterprise and Excel for a variety of asset types. Build and audit complex discounted cash flow (DCF) models, including development and redevelopment scenarios. Analyze rent rolls, operating statements, lease abstracts, and market assumptions to inform underwriting. Translate underwriting into actionable pricing guidance and investment narratives. Prepare Broker Opinion of Value (BOV) materials and pricing recommendations. Develop institutional-quality Offering Memorandums and marketing materials. Synthesize complex financial data into clear, compelling investment theses. Support end-to-end transaction processes, including due diligence, buyer underwriting support, and escrow coordination. Manage data rooms, process timelines, and execution checklists. Interface with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle. Market Research & Strategy Conduct in-depth market research, including comparable sales, leasing data, and capital markets trends. Track investor activity and underwriting trends across product types. Provide strategic insight to inform positioning and marketing of assets. Competencies Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with rigorous attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex analyses clearly. Team-oriented mindset with the ability to operate independently when needed. Background and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred. Three or more years of commercial real estate experience, preferably in capital markets, investment sales, or advisory. Strong background in financial modeling, including ARGUS Enterprise and Excel-based DCF analysis. Experience underwriting multiple asset classes (office, multifamily, industrial preferred). California Real Estate Salesperson’s License, or ability to obtain one within six months of employment. Compensation $93,500.00 - $110,000.00, with compensation depending on factors such as collective bargaining agreement coverage, geographic area, market pay rates, and candidate experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
