Contract | 16-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3×12-Hour Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a target nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation of dysrhythmias and participate in Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Administer blood products, manage central and peripheral lines, and start and maintain IVs; perform phlebotomy as needed
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Maintain strict isolation precautions and proper use of PPE in accordance with facility protocols
• Float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients as needed per unit requirements

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience required
• BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to assignment start
• Strong Med-Surg background required; must be willing to float to Med-Surg patient areas
• Local candidates are welcome; note that a local pay rate applies for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility

• Telemetry experience with demonstrated ability in management of dysrhythmias
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
• Chemotherapy administration experience and/or certification
• Familiarity with Epic and Pyxis systems
