We operate with a simple philosophy: people first, no black box, and we hustle. Role Overview We're looking for an energetic, intellectually curious 360° Biotech Recruiter to join our San Diego team. This is a full‑desk role: you'll own both sides of the equation – developing new client relationships with biotech companies and placing exceptional candidates into roles that advance their careers and the field. Key Responsibilities Business Development Identify, prospect, and build relationships with biotech startups, growth‑stage companies, and venture‑backed organizations across San Diego and the broader West Coast Consult with founders, executives, and HR leaders to understand their talent challenges, team‑building goals, and culture Present and articulate Partnology's value proposition with conviction and authenticity Own your pipeline from first outreach through signed engagement Talent & Candidate Experience Source, engage, and qualify candidates across scientific, clinical, medical, and general & administrative functions Build and nurture a high‑quality talent network within the San Diego biotech community Conduct in‑depth candidate assessments to understand motivations, career goals, and cultural fit Shepherd candidates through the interview and offer process with transparency and care Ecosystem Engagement Attend and contribute to local biotech events, networking forums, and industry conferences Stay current on funding announcements, pipeline milestones, and market trends in life sciences Contribute to Partnology's research, content, and community initiatives Ideal Candidate Profile 2–3 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, business development, sales, or a closely related field – ideally with some exposure to life sciences, biotech, or healthcare Foundational knowledge of the biotechnology industry – either through prior work experience, a relevant degree (biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, neuroscience, public health, etc.), or genuine self‑driven curiosity about how drugs are discovered and developed Ability to work onsite in San Diego with an established presence or desire to build deep roots in the regional biotech community A natural relationship‑builder who can earn trust quickly Energetic and self‑motivated Intellectually curious: you ask good questions and do your own outside research to intimately understand the space High integrity, straightforward communication, and a genuine care for the people you work with – candidates and clients Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in a 360° or agency recruiting role Existing network within San Diego biotech, biopharma, or life sciences VC Familiarity with executive or professional‑level search (VP, Director, C‑suite) Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter What We Offer Front‑row seat to San Diego's most innovative early‑stage biotech companies A small, high‑trust team where your contributions are visible and valued Mentorship from founders with 30+ years of life sciences recruiting experience Flexible, entrepreneurial work culture Genuine opportunity to grow into a senior recruiter or client partner role People First.
