About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Information Security to play a pivotal role in the development and execution of a multi-year security strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the institution's data in a rapidly evolving threat landscape, with a focus on artificial intelligence, identity-based attacks, and third-party risk. This executive-level position involves leading the security team, handling major incident investigations, and ensuring that security considerations are integrated into the company's strategic and tactical planning. The AVP will also be at the forefront of security operations, incident response, and compliance with a range of regulatory requirements. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 10 years of IT experience, and a minimum of 7 years in information security. A CISSP or equivalent certification is required. The role demands a deep understanding of the security implications of emerging technologies, particularly AI, and a proven track record in developing and executing security strategies. Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a high-performing security team and interact effectively with executive-level audiences. Experience with security management systems and a background in higher education are preferred.
