Commercial HVAC Technician (Level 3 or Level 4)

Location:  Greensboro, NC

Position Overview

Are you an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician who thrives on solving complex technical challenges? We are seeking a high-performing Level 3 or Level 4 Commercial HVAC Technician to cover our primary growth market across the Greensboro and Central/East NC region.

In this role, you will work independently in the field servicing high-stakes commercial systems. We are looking for technicians who possess master-level diagnostic skills—specifically the ability to independently service and repair Trane IntelliPak units, boilers, air-cooled chillers, and Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Autonomously troubleshoot, maintain, service, and repair complex commercial mechanical equipment, including Trane IntelliPak package units, boilers, air-cooled chillers, and precision CRAC/computer room environmental systems.

• Maintain clear, professional, and consultative communication with commercial facility managers, building owners, dispatchers, and internal service leads.

• Utilize the BuildOps CRM platform on a company-provided mobile device to log job details, track service histories, manage work orders, and complete digital paperwork accurately and on time.

• Operate out of a company-provided service vehicle, dispatching directly from home to customer job sites across the region.

• Maintain a safe job site at all times, adhering strictly to OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and company safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 to 10+ years of dedicated commercial HVAC service experience (7-10 years for Level 3; 10+ years for Level 4).

• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot, service, and repair Trane IntelliPak units, boilers, air-cooled chillers, and CRAC environmental systems.

• Active EPA Universal Certification required; OSHA 10 certification required (company will sponsor certification if needed).

• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings.

• Strong verbal communication skills for direct customer interaction and comfort using smartphone technology (BuildOps CRM).

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical commercial field service work.

What We Can Do For You

• Competitive Pay: $35 – $42/hr for Level 3 or $42+/hr for Level 4.

• Earn a $5/hr summer bonus on all hours worked, up to $300 monthly + $300 quarterly revenue sharing, $100 per sales lead, and a $1,040 annual tool allowance on your anniversary.
