Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

Patapsco Healthcare, a leading provider of post-hospital, short-stay nursing and rehabilitation services, is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our interdisciplinary clinical care team. As an OTA, you will play a vital role in helping patients and residents achieve their highest level of function and independence. Located in Randallstown, MD, our facility offers a unique and supportive environment for patients and residents to receive the care they need.

Responsibilities:

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of patients and residents

• Conduct occupational therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and assessments, under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist

• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive care and communication

• Utilize assistive technology and modalities to support patient rehabilitation and independence

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans

• Participate in in-service training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and industry developments

Work Environment:

• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care

• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and physicians

• Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in occupational therapy

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in occupational therapy Assistance or related field

• Current certification in Occupational Therapy Assistance

• 1 years of experience required (recent graduates welcome to apply)

• Ability to work part-time schedule (specific hours to be determined)

• Licensure in the State of Maryland
