Location: Verjus — San Francisco, CA
Verjus, a wine-focused restaurant and bar from the team behind Quince and Cotogna, is seeking a talented and driven Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.
Verjus offers a dynamic, seasonal menu rooted in French and European technique, designed to complement an evolving wine program. This role is ideal for a cook who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is passionate about refined yet approachable cuisine.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute a designated station with precision, consistency, and efficiency
- Prepare and cook seasonal dishes to Verjus standards
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper food handling at all times
- Support daily prep, service, and station transitions
- Collaborate with the culinary team on menu development and execution
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a high-quality restaurant kitchen
- Strong foundation in classical technique and knife skills
- Ability to work cleanly and efficiently under pressure
- Professionalism, reliability, and a team-first mindset
- Interest in wine and food pairing is a plus
