Location: Sauk Rapids MN. This is an on-site opportunity in the greater St. Cloud area ideal for professionals who enjoy close collaboration and working directly with their project teams. Annual base salary ranges from $70000 to $110000 depending on experience.

Note: Candidates must have 3 years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor or design-build firm.

Job Description

• Prepare accurate conceptual schematic and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings specifications and project documents to complete quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier bid requests evaluate proposals and develop competitive bid packages.
• Collaborate with architects engineers project managers and field teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities construction risks and value engineering solutions.
• Support project budgeting constructability reviews scheduling discussions and smooth handoffs to operations.
• Participate in client meetings project presentations and preconstruction planning discussions.
• Help improve estimating processes tools and cost-tracking systems.

Qualifications

• 3 years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor or design-build firm.
• Experience reviewing blueprints preparing quantity takeoffs and analyzing labor materials and subcontractor costs.
• Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Experience with conceptual estimating GMP development or negotiated commercial projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Sage/Timberline On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software is preferred.
• Experience in commercial industrial warehouse office or tenant improvement construction is a plus.
