Network Security Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure while ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise systems.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Network Security Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, configure, and manage F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM for application delivery, load balancing, and high availability.
• Implement and administer Zscaler ZIA/ZPA solutions to secure user access and enforce web and application security policies.
• Manage Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) to ensure reliable core network services and address management.
• Configure and maintain firewall policies (Palo Alto) including NAT, threat prevention, and zone-based security.
• Troubleshoot complex network and security issues using tools like Wireshark, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Maintain documentation, support audits, and drive automation initiatives using scripting tools like Python or Ansible.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in network security engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on expertise with F5 (LTM/GTM), Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), Infoblox DDI, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS) with proven troubleshooting and automation skills using tools like Wireshark, Python, or Ansible.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
