As a Consultant within US Corporate Development, you will support firm leadership and senior team members in evaluating and advancing Deloitte’s most strategic investment priorities. You will contribute across the Corporate Development lifecycle, from market assessment and opportunity evaluation to business case development and executive-level recommendations. This role requires strong strategic thinking, analytical rigor, executive communication skills, and the ability to thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, collaborative, and often ambiguous. Work you'll do As a Consultant, Corporate Development on the US Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for: Supporting Deloitte businesses in refining acquisition priorities aligned to growth strategyConducting market research and qualitative and quantitative analysis to inform target identification and pipeline developmentSourcing and screening acquisition targets under the direction of senior team membersDeveloping strategic rationale and business case materials, including financial modeling and value creation assumptionsSupporting due diligence and post-close integration activities across functional stakeholders A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment The Team This position is part of Deloitte’s US Corporate Development (USCD) function. USCD plays a critical role in shaping Deloitte’s future by driving the firm’s inorganic and organic growth agenda. The team partners with senior leaders across the firm to evaluate, prioritize, and execute strategic investments that strengthen Deloitte’s market position and long-term growth trajectory. USCD operates at the center of strategy, investment execution, and enterprise transformation. Team members work in a high-impact, high-visibility environment, supporting some of the firm’s most significant and complex growth initiatives. In this role, you’ll join a cohort of Consultants/Senior Consultants for USCD. As part of this dynamic resourcing pool, you’ll be deployed to high priority initiatives and projects across the Corporate Development ecosystem, helping the team adapt to evolving market needs and prioritize the most important areas for the firm. This is an internal, non-client-facing role with limited travel as needed for business meetings. The team operates in a remote environment, with flexibility to work from home or a local Deloitte office. QualificationsRequired: Bachelor’s degree2+ years of experience in strategy, corporate development, consulting, finance, mergers and acquisitions, or investment evaluationExperience developing presentations for senior stakeholdersExperience supporting communications for senior stakeholdersAbility to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Limited immigration sponsorship may be available. Preferred: Experience with market sizing, expert interviews, and survey designExperience with mergers and acquisitions, investment evaluation, or corporate financeExperience working within Deloitte’s business structure and internal processesExperience using artificial intelligence tools such as Enterprise GPT or Copilot to support research and productivity The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,600 to $157200. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
