Assistant Store Manager (Clarendon)

Job Summary Assistant Store Manager – Responsible for day‑to‑day service, sales and operational objectives at a TD store (Arlington, Virginia). Leads a team to deepen customer relationships and deliver a personalized, connected experience while making decisions for teller line and platform work with minimal direction. Responsibilities Lead a team of advice and service colleagues to achieve individual and store objectives that deliver legendary customer and colleague experience. Provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction to ensure efficient delivery of personalized and complex service and advice activities while staying compliant with regulatory guidelines. Oversee the most complex or diverse sales advice activities that involve multi‑step processes across multiple systems and partners. Use comprehensive knowledge of financial concepts, products, services and tools to consult and advise customers. Drive and reinforce advice behavior for the team through coaching, observation and communication. Actively participate in community events to promote the TD brand and serve community needs. Manage lead generation activities, including self‑generated leads, partner referrals, campaign leads, outbound calls, SMS and appointment scheduling. Ensure optimal colleague scheduling, problem‑resolution escalation and compliance of store operations. Perform daily store operations such as account maintenance, wire transfers, cash management, vault audits and risk mitigation. Maintain adherence to bank policies, procedures, audits and support operational excellence. Uphold the bank code of conduct and support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience working with customers and/or sales, or equivalent. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities. Demonstrated ability to provide legendary customer service. Sales and operational management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of banking products and services preferred. Strong organization, interpersonal and decision‑making skills. Previous consumer and residential lending experience is a plus. Willingness to maintain NMLS registration if required. Notary license (preferred). Physical Requirements Primarily sedentary work involving standard office equipment, reading, writing and computer use. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of items up to 25 lbs.
