Description Speech Therapist (SLP) - part-time Location: Care Resources PACE - Lowell, MI Schedule: Varied daytime weekday hours (no weekends!) Employment Type: Part-Time (10-12 hours per week) About Us Care Resources is a community-based program for people 55 or older that promotes healthy, independent living and helps prevent nursing home placement. - Complete initial speech therapy evaluations and ongoing assessments to determine level of functioning.
- Diagnoses, administer, and interpret speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders in assigned participants utilizing a variety of tests.
- Develop a treatment plan for assigned participants in consultation with the physician and other care team members.
- Coordinate services in consultation with the interdisciplinary team.
- Requires licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan
- Prefer at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with the frail or elderly population
- Ability to manage multiple tasks comfortably while staying organized and professional
- Work well autonomously as well as within a team setting
