Job Summary:
An emergency room registered nurse (RN) with expertise in charge or management roles is sought for a facility located in Utica, New York. This position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department setting, providing care to patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric populations. Candidates must bring their professional license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Utica, NY
• Schedule: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
• Job Type: Travel assignment in the Emergency Department
• Required Qualifications: Active New York registered nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certifications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine with some pediatric experience, documented travel experience, and proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system. Candidates must have a drivers license that matches their demographics and a skills checklist matching the specialty. Recent ED Charge or Manager RN references are required. RTO must be included at time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge management capability highly preferred; floating with the possibility of required float rotation; navy blue scrubs.
• Additional Information: The unit has approximately 64 beds, including triage, acute, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit (CDU), and psychiatric beds. Common diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes rapid infusors and Arctic Sun devices.
