Job TitlePay: $23.95 Shift Differential: $2.00 Schedule: 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM; Monday - Friday Shift: Afternoon / NightPosition OverviewThe Inspector/Packer is responsible for inspecting and packing bags to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible using effective manufacturing methods. Inspector/Packer personnel report to the Shift Leader.Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesFollow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to:Company and facility PoliciesSafety – LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rulesQuality – PQCT, Bag Specifications, Testing Frequencies and ProceduresSOPs – Methods for performing workSSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean)Good Manufacturing PracticesFood/Safety SecurityHACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)Food Regulatory and Customer SpecificationsResponsible for scrap, efficiency, and product qualityResponsible for ensuring that box and tote counts are accurate as per the bag specificationLearn to pack all bag specifications and at all machinesAssist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize the performance of the line.Provide feedback and suggestions for improvementsCommunicate positively and respectfully to resolve all issuesComplete all documentation accuratelyOther responsibilities and projects as assignedCompetency StatementsAct: Safely, Responsibly and Ethically.Develop: Positive, Collaborative Teams and Healthy Work Environments.Deliver: Timely, Innovative and Sustainable Focused Solutions.Drive: Quality in Products, Service, and Attainment of Professional Goals.Integrate: Core Values of Commitment, Responsibility, and Innovation into all aspects of work.Work Environment Manufacturing Plant.
