Mid-Level Tech Regulatory Litigation & Investigations Attorney

Overview The role focuses on litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations concerning content moderation, platform regulation, and AI matters. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with US frameworks (FTC enforcement, Section 230, emerging state/federal online safety and AI regulations) and relevant global frameworks (e.g., EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act, UK Online Safety Act). Candidates should demonstrate the ability to engage directly with clients, lead significant projects, and possess general tech fluency, along with impeccable analytical and writing skills. Posting details Cooley is seeking a midlevel associate who focuses on litigation and/or regulatory enforcement investigations involving content moderation, platform regulation and AI matters to join our global team in our New York or San Francisco office. Ideal applicants will have 3-6 years of experience focusing on tech-based investigations or litigation. Familiarity with US frameworks—including FTC enforcement, Section 230, and emerging state/federal online safety and AI regulations is highly preferred, alongside relevant global frameworks (e.g., EU Digital Services Act, EU AI Act, UK Online Safety Act). Successful candidates will have a high level of academic achievement, the ability to engage directly with clients and lead significant projects, general tech fluency, and impeccable analytical and writing skills. The expected annual pay range for this position is $260,000 - $390,000. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience and skillset of the candidate.
