Position: Mid-Level Attorney – Employment Defense Litigation and Counseling (4–6 Years) Company Overview: Paduano & Weintraub LLP is a sophisticated boutique law firm headquartered in Rockefeller Center. We seek a mid-level associate for our growing practice in employment defense litigation, counseling and mergers and acquisition support. Job Description: We seek a talented and motivated mid-level attorney with four to six years of experience to join our Chambers ranked Labor & Employment Group. This role offers significant hands‑on responsibility and the opportunity to take a lead role on matters while working closely with partners and clients. Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of employment defense litigation, including factual investigation, drafting position statements and pleadings, discovery, motion practice and hearings Take ownership of cases and manage day‑to‑day litigation activities. Conduct depositions, appear in court, and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations. Conduct legal research and provide timely, strategic analysis and recommendations to clients. Counsel clients on a variety of employment‑related issues, including reductions in force, terminations, equal pay audits, workplace investigations, and compliance with wage and hour and other employment laws. Draft employment policies, employment agreements, separation agreements and training materials. Provide M&A support; conduct employment diligence into target companies. Work closely with partners on litigation strategy and client development. Qualifications: Excellent academic credentials Admitted to practice in New York Four to six years of litigation experience (law firm experience strongly preferred) Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters independently and meet deadlines Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team New York Disclaimer: This position is based in New York.
