Job Overview A law firm seeks a highly motivated and experienced mid-level Employment Associate to join its dynamic legal team in New York, United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law counseling and litigation, with experience representing employers in various forums and advising clients on compliance and risk mitigation. Duties Prepare employee handbooks and policies. Advise clients on employment law issues, including paid sick leave, discrimination, and wage compliance. Represent employers in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and mediations. Draft and argue motions in both federal and state courts. Prepare and respond to pleadings and discovery requests. Conduct depositions and witness interviews. Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements. Handle other ad hoc projects and assignments as needed. Requirements J.D. from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice in New York. 5-7 years of relevant employment law experience. Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience counseling clients on compliance with employment laws. Education J.D. from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in New York. Skills Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines. Experience in compliance counseling.
