Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Learning Support Teacher, making an impactful difference in a school community near Levittown, PA. This contract position runs from September to December 2026, with a steady weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. You’ll serve as a long-term Special Education Learning Support Substitute Teacher, providing essential academic and social-emotional support to students in a single school setting.
Your day will be structured around the school’s 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM hours, where you’ll balance teaching dedicated classes and engaging in co-teaching with fellow educators throughout the remainder of your schedule. This role offers the satisfaction of guiding and inspiring students while collaborating with a supportive faculty.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid PA certification in Special Education (N-12 or 7-12 required)
- Additional PA certification in High School Algebra and/or Science is a strong advantage
- Experience working with special education students, preferably in a learning support capacity
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and needs
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Passion for fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction to students both individually and in groups
- Co-teach with general education teachers to support differentiated learning
- Assess and track student progress according to IEP goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning
- Uphold a positive classroom environment that values each student
- Implement strategies and accommodations to promote student success
