Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience as a paraprofessional in a school special education program (PreK–12), supporting children with behavioral needs
• Residency within 35 minutes of the assigned site
• Availability to work the full scheduled hours per assignment
• Willingness and ability to participate in a mandatory orientation week before beginning assignment
• Candidates must meet one of the following Pennsylvania state paraprofessional qualification requirements:
  • Two years of postsecondary study (minimum 48 credits)
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Completion of a recognized state/local assessment or willingness to earn paraprofessional certification within 60 days of assignment start

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on classroom support, including assistance with toileting, diapering, feeding, transfers, and active engagement throughout the school day
• Support preschool students with moderate to severe autism and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Flexibly adapt to changes in assignment locations as needed
