Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification
  • Experience or strong interest in early childhood/kindergarten special education
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills for working with staff and families
  • Commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support tailored to each student’s IEP
  • Use evidence-based strategies to promote student growth and engagement
  • Monitor, track, and report student progress with care and accuracy
  • Collaborate with general education staff, support professionals, and families
  • Foster a positive, adaptive classroom culture that encourages each child’s abilities
