Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a pivotal, full-time role supporting a diverse K-12 student population as a school counselor for the upcoming fall semester. You’ll be part of a team addressing student needs and providing essential services, all while working onsite in a vibrant educational environment near Arlington, TX. This contract-based assignment covers maternity leave coverage running from August 3rd through December 18th, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a key period in the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Valid Texas School Counselor Certificate, which may include:
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Psychologist (LP)
  • Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)
• Experience successfully serving K-12 students in a school setting.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload of 75-85 students and perform behavior threat assessments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct counseling and support services to students across various age groups.
• Conduct behavior threat assessments and contribute to the development of intervention plans.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to promote students’ social and emotional wellness.
• Maintain accurate and timely records for each student on your caseload.
• Support transition and adjustment needs associated with maternity leave coverage.
