About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac drip experience, including titration and management, is a hardstop requirement. Description: Candidates may choose one holiday, either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but cannot have both. Stepdown or PCU nurses are needed with cardiac drip experience. Candidates must have the ability to manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips. This is a Short Term Acute Care facility. It serves as a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Total staffed beds are 629. The nursing unit has a patient age group of adults and geriatrics. The daily patient census may vary. The hospital features interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary. Patient diagnoses include CHF, Afib, RVR, chest pain, and post MI care. Special procedures and equipment include cardiac monitoring and cardiac gtts. Nurses may be expected to float to nearby facilities if necessary. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly unless for an agreed-upon interview. Modules are non-billable and are completed pre-start and during orientation. All time spent on modules is factored into non-billable hours.
