Entry level starting wage $12/hr plus tips.The position includes but is not limited to cleaning, disinfecting, following safety procedures, and following cleaning procedures set forth by Historic Hotel Bethlehem.The room attendant is responsible but not limited to the following tasks: prepares bed and bath linens, cleans and straightens rooms, displays and replaces amenities and promotional materials, orders repairs as appropriate, returns articles left in rooms to Lost and Found, keeps supply carts stocked, organizes and cleans linen closet, notifies the Housekeeping Department of stock shortages and/or malfunctioning equipment.SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES:· Able to work independently and with others· Able to multitask· Knowledge of cleaning products and procedures in a hotel setting· Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service· Listens, apologizes with empathy, finds a solution and follows through when resolving guest problems· Ability to deal well with people in a professional and courteous mannerQUALIFICATIONS:Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate effectively and verbally in English. Excellent hospitality skills. Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and holidays.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Applicants must have the physical capability to lift, push or pull at least 30-50 pounds. Also, applicants must have the ability to use abdominal and back muscles and be able to stand for the duration of the shift. Must also have the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists, and to reach and stretch, bend, kneel and squat.
