Job Description Join our dynamic team at Murray's Cheese, where you will be immersed in a full-service cheese experience that celebrates our passion for food and cheese. Collaborate closely with our in-store Murray's Cheese Master to foster an engaging and theatrical environment for cheese retailing. Showcasing our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety will be essential in this role. Responsibilities Prepare and showcase cheese and related gourmet items with care. Engage customers through active demonstrations and tastings within the Murray's Cheese Shop and Deli. Deliver proactive customer service, fostering ongoing conversations and providing tasting experiences. Participate in daily cheese tastings to enhance your product knowledge; an openness to taste cheese every day is required. Contribute towards achieving sales and gross profit targets. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards for all products. Follow the Murray's operations manual to ensure fresh, well-stocked, and properly rotated product displays. Complete both Murray's Basic Skills Training and Murray's Red Jacket Training. Curate and enhance the Murray's Boutique experience through education, service, effective cross-selling, and promotion of designated products. Be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Minimum A genuine eagerness to learn, a passion for our products, and an openness to explore innovative approaches. A willingness to try and appreciate cheese on a daily basis. Ability to communicate ideas effectively according to the audience. Prior retail experience. A strong interest in food and an enthusiasm for supporting cheese business initiatives. A capacity to inspire and motivate customers while successfully completing all assigned tasks.
