Position Overview

Join our team as a Care Coordinator who contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital. Within the veterinary field, this position aligns closely with roles often titled Veterinary Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or Client Care Specialist.

Voorhees Veterinary Center in Voorhees, New Jersey has been a pillar of community since 1986, founded by Dr. Marc — whose legacy of quality, compassion, and community engagement, including decades-long partnerships with local rescues and humane societies inherited from his father, continues to define the practice today. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of services for dogs and cats including wellness, surgery, dentistry, cold laser therapy, acupuncture, physical therapy, grooming, and USDA-approved international travel health certificates, all delivered by a tight-knit team that builds lasting, multi-generational relationships with its clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in a veterinary hospital.

Schedule

• Full Time (40 hours/week), Rotating Shifts
• Schedule varies. Required days are Friday from 8AM-7:30PM and every other Saturday from 8AM-5:30PM
